Top 10 most valuable players in the world: Osimhen joint seventh along with Arsenal's record signing in history
Published: March 29, 2024Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen has been ranked as one of the most valuable players in the world.
In the latest ranking released by Transfermarkt, the Napoli star was valued at €110m, placing him joint seventh globally alongside Florian Wirtz (Bayer Leverkusen), Jamal Musiała (Bayern Munich), and Arsenal's record signing Declan Rice.
Cap-tied England international of Nigerian descent Bukayo Saka is the most valuable Arsenal player at €130m and sits in 5th.
Valued at €180m respectively, Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham, PSG forward Kylian Mbappé, and Manchester City striker Erling Haaland are the joint most valuable players in the world.
Despite failing to hit the heights of the last season, Osimhen is still considered one of the best strikers in the world and, unsurprisingly, is one the most valuable players in the world.
The reigning CAF Men's Player of the Year is set to be a subject of transfer between PSG, Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United in the summer with his Napoli days set to come to an end.
However, his €110m valuation by Transfermarkt is below his release clause which has been reported to be between €120-€130m.
Osimhen is in contention to return to action on Saturday when Napoli take on Atalanta after pulling out of Nigeria's March internationals against Mali and Ghana due to fitness issues.
