3SC Shuns FA Pre-Season Seminar

As part of measure to adequately prepare all teams that would be participating in the 2014 soccer season from Oyo State, Oyo State Football Association over the weekend held a pre-season seminar where officials of all clubs that would be vying in different categories of league where taken through major required information.
The officials of the leading club in state, 3SC were conspicuously missing in the workshop where a member of club’s management, club’s secretary, Team manager, Coach, team’s captain and his assistant, Supporter’s club chairman were invited to attend.
Among the resource persons that delivered papers in a-day seminar was the FIFA/CAF Referee Instructor, Prof. Babatunde Asagba and NRA Publicity Secretary, Mrs. Sareh Jumoke Adebisi that educates the participants on the Interpretations of the Laws of the Game.
Elder Babatunde Oloyede gave a talk on Rules and Regulations governing Nigeria National League (Premier National and Nationwide League) while Gboyega Makinde presented paper on the topic: Collaborative Roles of Soccer Stakeholders (Reference FIFA Stipulated roles).
Oyo FA and Ministry of Youths and Sports that organized the event expressed surprises while speaking to newsmen after the workshop over absence of 3SC officials who’s only their team manager, Ajibade Babalade was only personnel out of about ten people expected from the team that showed up briefly at the venue.
The Club Manager of Crown FC Ogbomoso, Coach Niyi Akande thanked the organizer for the good initiatives which he said would greatly helped their campaign the elite cadre of Nigerian League, while the Oyo State acting FA boss, Chief James Odeniran in his remark assured the teams of more resourceful workshop during and after the league season.
Meanwhile, the two leading clubs, 3SC and Crown FC Ogbomoso have qualified to do battle in the semi-final of the pre-season tourney today Sunday at the Lekan Salami Sports Complex Ibadan while 3SC Starlet and Atiba United would also confronts each other in the second semifinal at 2:pm same day.
