Tawa Ishola On Song As Minsk Win Belarus Super Cup

Reigning league champions Minsk beat rivals Bobruichanka 2-0 to win the 2014 edition of the Belarus Women’s Super Cup on Monday morning at the KFP Minsk Stadium.
The favourites were simply too much for their opponents in the encounter that heralds the new football season.
The match was settled courtesy of a goal each by Nigerian international Tawa Ishola (29minutes) and Belarus striker Yekaterina Lutskevich on 34 minutes.
It was a game that had six Nigerians in action.
The winning team paraded Onome Ebi, Gift Otuwe and Ishola Tawa. On the opposing side were Ijeoma Obi, Alabi Elos and Promise Obioma.
The win serves as a major boost for Minsk ahead of the Belarus Women Premier League (elite division) which is expected to commence on April 18, 2014.
