Zaglebie Lubin Will Break Wage Structure To Keep David Abwo
Published: April 17, 2014
Polish Cup finalists Zagbie Lubin would have to break their wage structure if they want to keep former Nigeria youth international David Abwo at the club.
The 27 - year - old midfielder comes off contract in June and the leadership of the Coppers is keen on offering him a new deal to reward him for what has been his most outstanding season since he arrived Europe.
So far, David Abwo, well known for his exploits with the Flying Eagles at the 2005 Fifa Under 20s, has scored 7 goals in all competitions despite his fitness being in doubt for most part of this campaign.
Using the electronic edition of Polish sports daily Przegladsportowy as our guide, Zagbie Lubin will soon start talks with David Abwo, who is spending his fourth season in south - western Poland.
David Abwo earns around 8,300 euros every month, more than 1,000 euros above the wage ceiling recently put in place by President Thomas Debicki .
Should the Nigerian append his signature to a new deal, the club’s policy of paying a maximum of 7,150 euros per month to their players will be bypassed.
