Supreme Court Gaffer Believes Top Flight Target Not OverDespite failing to pick maximum points against perennial rivals TEAP FC of Abuja, Head Coach of Supreme Court FC Henry Haggai has declared that his target of leading his side to clinch top of the league summit at the end of the current season has not been dashed.

Speaking moments after his team was shocked to 0-1 loss at the weekend inside Old Parade Ground in Abuja by the home side TEAP, Coach Henry who remained optimistic over the chances of Supreme Court to surmount impending challenges before it, assured that the club’s technical crew would back to drawing board.

While the encounter between his team and TEAP lasted, the Apex Boys as the judiciary team are fondly called took the bull by the horn and remained in control of the game until stoppage time in the first half when the center Referee awarded penalty shoot out to TEAP after perceived infringement within touch line.

At several times, Supreme Court’s sensational striker, Eric Eric and Defender, Henry Ochuba calculated shots on target which would sent their side aglow in both the early and very end of the match hit the bar.

Fresh from a two-week CAF C Coaching license organized by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Coach Haggai maintained “this is a match we never taught of losing but all the same it happened below our expectation.

“My boys gave their best which many spectators applauded throughout the encounter. The result didn’t go in our favour but I know we still have a point to prove as the season progresses.

Giving critical analysis on the outcome of the crucial tie, the Supreme Court Gaffer observed “My players actually started slow with the game but after half time recess, they came into second half with determination to score goals. Unfortunately, they couldn’t convert begging chances.

“Right now, we will go back to the drawing board and work harder. if there is any set back, is left for the coaching crew to
devise other means to get desired results.

“All hope is not lost. I thank the fans who have stood behind us all the while.”
