Guangzhou R&F attacker Aaron Samuel netted his fifth goal of the season in his club’s 2 - 1 victory over Shanghai SIPG on Sunday.
The youngster has confessed that the team had to work their socks off before they could pick the maximum points.
“It was a good game for us, we had to work so hard because we needed the three points. I assisted the fist goal and scored the second goal that gave us the victory,” says Aaron Samuel to allnigeriasoccer.com.
The 20 - year - old also hit target in matches against Shanghai Shenhua, Beijing Guoan and Liaoning Whowin.
With 47 points from 25 matches, Guangzhou R&F, who are managed by Swede Sven Goran Eriksson, sit third in the standings.
They will tackle table toppers Guangzhou Evergrande in their next fixture.
