Dickson Etuhu Rejected English Premier League Clubs Before Moving To AIK
Published: March 06, 2015
Dickson Etuhu has claimed that he turned down a move to the English Premier League, before his switch to AIK, Sweden.
The former Fulham and Sunderland midfielder has revealed that he has a Swedish girlfriend, which might have contributed to his decision to join a team in the Allsvenskan.
“ I can not go into what other options I had, but I can say that I had been able to stay in England. It’s not exactly surprising given that I played there for a long time.
“ Now I decided to try something new in a club where I can win something. What is the point of signing for a team in the Premier League and never win anything?
“We can win everything with AIK this season. We can do something crazy. I’m here to win the titles, ” said Dickson Etuhu to SportExpressen.se.
The Nigeria international signed a two - year deal with AIK in December 2014.
