Published: April 20, 2015
England youth - teamer Dele Alli scooped The Football League’s Young Player of the Year for the 2014 - 2015 season, which rewards the most outstanding youngster in the second - fourth level of English football.
The Tottenham Hotspur midfielder, who is on loan at MK Dons until this summer, saw off competition from Middlesbrough’s Patrick Bamford and fellow England youth international Nathan Redmond.
“It’s been a really good season so far and I wouldn’t have been able to do any of it without my team-mates.
“I also can’t thank the gaffer enough for everything he has done - he’s always had faith in me,” Dele Alli said, according to mkdons.com.
Alli, who has netted 16 times this season, was nominated for the Sky Bet League 1 Player of the Year award but eventually lost out to Joe Garner of Preston North End.
