No Aalesund Deal For Austin Ikenna
Published: July 24, 2015
Norwegian Tippeligaen side Aalesund have passed up an opportunity to sign Nigerian striker Austin Ikenna.
In the last few weeks, the AFC Leopards player has been training with AaFK and did impress manager Trond Fredriksen in the practice games.
However, it is believed that the Color Line Stadium outfit can not meet the transfer fee demanded by his present employer.
“We ’re not going to get him now. It’s a little matter of money . In addition, we are firmly biased in the attack, ” said coach Trond Fredriksen to smp.no.
“Meanwhile, Austin impressed and shown great qualities, so we exclude nothing .
“We would like to see him more , so it may well be that he’s going to practice more with us later, ”
Former Molde player André Schei Lindbæk recommended Austin Ikenna to Aalesund.
