Aaron Samuel Explains Reason Behind Botched Move To CSKA Moscow

Guangzhou R&F striker Aaron Samuel has explained the circumstances
that led to his botched move to CSKA Moscow in the summer transfer
market.
For more than eight months, the Russian Premier League table - toppers had been in contact with the Chinese club and Samuel’s intermediary over a transfer before they threw in the towel in their bid to land the signature of the attacker.
“CSKA Moscow tried to sign me but my Chinese club refused to allow me leave, ”Aaron Samuel told allnigeriasoccer.com.
“They were bothered with our league position and they needed me to help them avoid relegation. ”
The Nigeria international has resumed full training with Guangzhou R&F after a short vacation in Norway and Nigeria.
The 21 - year - old has confirmed that he has extended his contract with the Super League side until December 31, 2017.
