Exclusive : Super Eagles Defender Austin Oboroakpo Set To Pen New Deal With Abia Warriors; Rejects Warri Wolves & Kano PillarsAllnigeriasoccer.com understands that Abia Warriors skipper Austin Oboroakpo will not jump ship before the start of the Nigeria Professional Football League in the next two weeks or so.

The Nigeria international was approached by Kano Pillars and Warri Wolves in the off season but he could not be convinced to dump the Umuahia-based side.

Oboroakpo and Super Eagles colleague Chisom Chikatara are with the Abia Warriors squad in Rivers State undergoing pre-season training ahead of their first game of the season next weekend.

In a bid to scare off interested local clubs, Abia Warriors have offered the central defender a new contract which he is expected to append his signature to next week.

The 23-year-old Oboroakpo has been on the books of Abia Warriors for the past five seasons, and assisted them gain promotion to the top-flight in 2013.
