Kelechi Iheanacho Issues Battle Cry Ahead of Tottenham Hotspur Game
Published: February 11, 2016
Kelechi Iheanacho is aware of the importance of Manchester City’s Premier League clash against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday and has called on his teammates to the treat the game like a Cup final.
Ahead of the meeting at the Etihad, The Citizens are six points behind table-toppers Leicester City and will lose further ground on the leaders if they don’t get the needed result against Spurs.
“We have to treat it like a cup final and give everything we have in the game,” Iheanacho told Sky Sports News HQ.
“They have quality players and are second in the league so we have to fight them right to the final whistle.
“Everyone is sad that we lost last week and we have to put that behind us and move on. History was made that day but it’s not in our mind.”
