Crewe Alexandra Starlet Daniel Udoh Commits International Future To Nigeria Ahead Of EnglandCrewe Alexandra striker Daniel Udoh has pledged his international allegiance to Nigeria ahead of England and Togo.

Born in Ojuelegba, Surulere in Lagos, the 19-year-old has lived in the United Kingdom for the past ten years and can represent Togo internationally as his mom hails from the French speaking West African country.

The Luton Town product trained with the likes of Kelechi Iheanacho (Manchester City), Taiwo Awoniyi (FSV Frankfurt) and Isaac Success (Granada) prior to the 2013 Fifa Under 17 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates.

“I trained with the U17s before the African Championship where they lost in the final to Ivory Coast and then again before they went to the UAE and won the World Cup, with players like Kelechi,Awoniyi and Success, ”says Udoh to allnigeriasoccer.com

“Hopefully Nigeria is the first team I want to represent, it would be an honour playing for the country. I was born there and remember playing on sandy football fields as a youngster. ”

Asked about his qualities and role models, Daniel Udoh replied : “I have pace, power and finishing. Odion Ighalo and Karim Benzema, I watch them a lot, I see Ighalo at the barber shop sometimes. ”

The talented teenager has appeared four times for  Crewe Alexandra in the English League One since he joined the club from Ilkeston a month ago.
