Exclusive : Porto Young Star Chidozie Awaziem Will Miss Super Eagles Friendly Against Mali
Published: May 25, 2016
Porto defender Chidozie Awaziem will not make his international debut for the Super Eagles when they face Mali on Friday as he is yet to be issued a visa to France.
Awaziem’s intermediary Babawo Mohammed has revealed that there is a small probability that he will be issued the traveling document before the second friendly against Luxembourg.
“Chidozie has not yet been issued a visa; he is not going to make it to the Mali game, maybe next game, ” Babawo Mohammed told allnigeriasoccer.com.
“The Nigeria Football Federation is aware of his situation. I am not sure when he will be issued the visa.”
The 19-year-old Awaziem was handed his first-ever invitation to the national team after breaking into the first team of Porto in the second half of last season.
