Diamond Academy Supremo : Samuel Chukwueze Is Going To Porto Not Monaco
Published: June 12, 2016
Flying Eagles star Samuel Chukwueze and his representatives will travel to Portugal in the coming days to pen a preliminary contract with Porto, which will be activated next summer.
The President of Diamond Academy, Martin Apugo, has dismissed speculations in the media that the winger could join French Ligue 1 side Monaco instead of the Portuguese setup.
“Chukwueze is going to FC Porto not Monaco. They are waiting for him to sign the papers but he couldn’t travel because he is with the Flying Eagles, ” Martin Apugo told allnigeriasoccer.com, when asked to confirm the player’s likely destination.
“We don’t know the length of contract he will sign until we get to Portugal. ”
The 2015 Fifa U17 World Cup bronze ball winner was thought to be on his way to Arsenal but the deal appears to have collapsed finally, based on the statements of Diamond Academy.
Chukwueze was on the wishlist of Juventus and Red Bull Salzburg, and was being hawked around German Bundesliga teams after the tournament in Chile.
