Published: June 26, 2016
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Belgian-based Sodiq Popoola has joined the Dream Team VI in Abuja, few days before their departure to Atlanta, USA,where they will hold a final get-together before the Olympic Games.
The diminutive midfielder arrived the team hotel on Sunday and it is all but confirmed that he will participate in tomorrow’s workout at the practice pitch of the National Stadium.
Popoola, 21, was one of the foreign-based professionals named in the Nigeria U23s squad for the Suwon Invitational Tournament in South Korea earlier this month but an injury curtailed his appearances in the tourney.
The former Metz starlet was one of the outstanding players in the Dream Team’s 1-0 victory over Brazil in March.
