Ex-Barcelona Defender Ekpolo Departs Wolves Without Signing A Contract
Published: July 23, 2016
Nigeria U23 international Godswill Ekpolo is waiting to hear from Wolverhampton Wanderers whether or not he has been offered a contract following a trial.
Ekpolo departed the Molineux Stadium outfit empty-handed without signing a deal, and former Super Eagles midfielder Seyi Olofinjana has refused to categorically state that the former Barcelona defender did not pass the tests.
Olofinjana told allnigeriasoccer.com : “Ekpolo has left Wolves, with decisions (on if he is offered a deal) to be made later. ”
Seyi Olofinjana was among the Wolverhampton Wanderers U21s coaching staff that ran the rule over Ekpolo but it is not up to him to decide whether the La Masia Academy product will continue his career at the Championship outfit.
The right fullback made the starting XI as the Development squad recorded a 2-1 win over Hednesford Town in a pre-season friendly last weekend.
