OB Odense Midfielder Izunna Uzochukwu Faces Three Weeks On The Sidelines
Published: July 25, 2016
Izunna Uzochukwu might spend the next three weeks on the sidelines after sustaining a muscle injury in OB Odense’s 2-2 draw with Lyngby in the Danish Superliga on Sunday.
The defensive midfielder had to make way for Thrane in the 69th minute as a result of the ailment, and coach Kent Nielsen expects the Nigeria national-teamer to return to action not later than August 14th when The Striped tackle Nordsjælland.
“The assessment is that it will take one to three weeks before he is ready again, ” says Kent Nielsen to fyens.dk.
“The alternatives at his place is Mathias Thrane or Jens Jakob Thomasen and Rasmus Jönsson has also played there a few times previously. ”
Uzochukwu has started the first two games of the new season, and was not cautioned in both matches.
