Official : KV Mechelen Announce Signing Of Nigeria International Striker
Published: August 31, 2016
With a statement published on their official website, Belgian First Division A side KV Mechelen have announced the signing of Super Eagles striker Osaguona Ighodaro.
The 25-year-old, who last defended the colours of Raja Casablanca, has penned a deal tying him to KV Mechelen for one season with an option for an additional season inserted into the agreement.
KV Mechelen have stressed that Ighodaro can not represent the club in official matches for the time being until they get approval from Fifa regarding his eligibility.
The former Enugu Rangers star had unilaterally terminated his contract with Raja Casablanca at the end of last season, citing breach of contract and unpaid wages.
Ighodaro was linked with possible moves to clubs in Sweden, Turkey and Tunisia in the summer transfer window.
