The Nigeria Football Federation has announced the shirt numbers of the 21 young stars representing the country at the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Jordan.
Rivers Angels netminder Chiamaka Nnadozie has been handed the number one jersey, a strong hint that the coaching prefer her to be in goal ahead of Christiana Obia and Agatha Thompson when the competition begins.
An influential member of the squad Patience Dike will play with the number three kit, while Christy Ucheibe and Catherine Kenneth will wear the number four and five respectively.
The iconic number ten shirt, normally reserved for the best player in a team, will be worn by Rasheedat Ajibade and Mercy Omokwo will suit up with the number nine.
