Nigeria Federation To Run The Rule Over New Liverpool Signing Emeka Obi
Published: October 28, 2016
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that the Nigeria Football Federation are hoping to beat their English counterparts to the international future of Bury teen sensation Emeka Obi, who has agreed terms with Liverpool, subject to the approval of the Premier League.
Though the NFF can boast of a very good database of players of Nigerian descent in the United Kingdom, they were not aware of The Shakers wonderkid until news filtered that the central defender has been acquired by Liverpool.
A English-based Nigerian with close ties to the Nigerian Federation will attend one of Bury’s reserve team fixtures in the coming days to run the rule over Emeka Obi, before providing feedback to his principal.
The stopper has been included in Bury’s 18-man squad for competitive matches two times this season.
