Man City Target Idris Kanu Clarifies : I Am Not Eligible To Represent Nigeria

Former West Ham starlet Idris Kanu has clarified that he is not eligible to represent the Nigerian national teams, contrary to several reports in the local media that claimed that he has Nigerian blood in his veins.
The 17-year-old has specially informed allnigeriasoccer.com that he qualifies to play for the national teams of England and Sierra Leone.
Idris Kanu first came to the attention of majority of Nigerians three months ago when he netted a brace against Middlesbrough while undergoing trials with Manchester United.
In recent weeks, the English-born striker has been scouted by Manchester City, Leicester City and Reading with a view to a transfer in the near future.
Kanu penned his first professional contract with Aldershot Town earlier this month.
