Allnigeriasoccer.com understands Premier League side Arsenal are in pole position for the signature of American-born Nigerian wonderkid Lateef Omidiji Jr.
The 13-year-old was eyed by the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Man City, Chelsea, PSG and Ajax Amsterdam but the Gunners have moved ahead of their rivals for his services when he attains the age of majority.
It has been agreed that Omidiji will travel to London every summer to train with the youth team of Arsenal.
The United States U14 invitee is presently training with one of the best academies in the Netherlands, Sparta Rotterdam, which is famed for producing Danny Blind, Memphis Depay, Georginio Wijnaldum and Jetro Willems.
The pacy striker was born in the United States and remains eligible to represent the Nigerian youth teams.
