Chelsea Demand Record N4.55 Billion Tribunal Fee From Liverpool For Solanke
Published: June 14, 2017
Premier League champions Chelsea are demanding a hefty fee from Liverpool before they complete the signing of English-born Nigerian wonderkid Dominic Solanke in the summer transfer window.
The London Evening Standard says the Blues want over ten million pounds (N4.55 billion) in compensation for the England U20 international.
Liverpool had offered three million pounds for Solanke but his stock has risen after helping the Young Lions clinch the Fifa U20 World Cup, and winning the Golden Ball, awarded to the best player at the tournament.
If The Reds fail to agree financial terms with Chelsea, the Professional Football Compensation Committee will have to meet next month to decide the true valuation of the player.
Liverpool were forced to pay a record tribunal fee of eight million pounds before acquiring Danny Ings from Burnley in 2015.
