Manchester United Young Star Kehinde Admits : I Would Have Struggled In Pre-Season If.....
Published: July 21, 2017
Manchester United midfielder Tosin Kehinde has admitted that he has noticed that pre-season training has been tough, despite training on his own in the off-season.
The Nigerian-born talent has been speaking to the official website of the Red Devils about the U23s preparations for the forthcoming season after they returned from a training camp in Austria.
''It's been tough introduction back into things. But it will all pay off in the end,'' Kehinde said.
"I did expect it. I tried to do some stuff over the summer just to brace myself for what I thought would be coming but, obviously it's still quite hard work. ''
The 19-year-old added : ''I would say it still comes as quite a shock to the system. But I did some work away from the club and here [at the Aon Training Complex] and that's always important.
"I think that it's best you get in as good a shape as you can to get yourself in before you get back. It's always better as, if you haven't done anything, you'd really struggle."
Kehinde and his teammates return to action on August 1 when they face Oldham Athletic at Sportsdirect.com Park in a pre-season friendly.
