Published: August 20, 2017
French moneybags Paris Saint-Germain are poised to offer Italy international Marco Verratti a new deal to fend off interest from Europe's elite clubs.
The central midfielder is in high demand this summer, with the likes of Barcelona, Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea showing interest in signing him.
According to Le Parisien, Verratti is set to sign a new contract which would see him pocket one million euros gross every month.
The 24-year-old, who takes home € 810,000 per month currently, has signed four contract extensions since his arrival at Paris Saint-Germain in 2012 from Pescara.
Verratti is represented by super agent Mino Raiola, who brokered the deals that took Romelu Lukaku, Zlatan Ibrahimović, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Paul Pogba to Manchester United.
