Published: August 22, 2017
Inter Milan are poised to offer Croatia international Ivan Perisic a new deal to fend off interest from his suitors, including Manchester United, Chelsea and Barcelona.
Italian sports daily La Gazzetta dello Sport has reported that the winger will become the highest paid player at Inter Milan if he commits his future to the club until 2021.
If Perisic signs on the dotted line, he will earn at least five million euros per season (equivalent of N8.56 billion over the duration of the contract).
Manchester United have been on his case since the transfer window opened but have not met the Nerazzurri's asking price of 55 million euros.
The former Wolfsburg and Borussia Dortmund man is thought to be the mysterious fourth signing Manchester United are hoping to close a deal for before September 1.
