A round-up of Nigerian players that were in action for their respective clubs in the third round of the League Cup on Wednesday, September 20.
Nigerian players with dual nationalities that have played competitively for the senior national teams of other countries have been omitted.
At the Emirates Stadium in London, Arsenal narrowly beat Doncaster Rovers 1-0. Alex Iwobi came off the bench in the 76th minute, fellow Hale End Academy product Chuba Akpom was an unused substitute for the second time this season.
Over to Old Trafford, Manchester United have set up a meeting with Tammy Abraham and Swansea City following their 4-1 rout of Hope Akpan's Burton Albion.
The Nigeria international, who was playing his first game since August 15, lasted 78 minutes on the pitch and was cautioned on 42 minutes.
Young stars Tosin Kehinde and Matthew Olosunde were not involved for the Red Devils.
Victor Moses watched proceedings from the bench as Chelsea thrashed Nottingham Forest 5-1 at Stamford Bridge. It would have been his 17th appearance in the League Cup if he had featured.
Tosin Adarabioyo was a non-playing substitute in Manchester City's hard fought 2-1 win over West Brom at The Hawthorns.
At Goodison Park, England U21 international Ademola Lookman played the last 17 minutes of Everton's 3-0 win over Sunderland, for whom Sweden U21 striker Joel Asoro was an unused substitute.
