Agali Vows To Get Rohr The Best Players, Met Eagles Coach 13 Years Ago At Nice AirportRetired Nigeria international Victor Agali has promised to get the best set of players for Super Eagles manager Gernot Rohr in the wake of his appointment as one of the scouts for the senior national team.

The print edition of Nice-Matin first reported that Agali has been appointed Rohr's scout for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

The hiring of Victor Agali is a proof that Rohr still maintains a cordial relationship with the striker, thirteen years after the German managed to convince him to join OGC Nice.

Agali was on the lookout for a new employer after falling out of favour at German club Schalke 04 and had a chance meeting with the then OGC Nice manager Gernot Rohr at Nice Airport.

Speaking to sportsvillagesquare.com, Agali said : ''I am glad to be call upon. Rohr is a great man I have known for long and I won’t hesitate to get him the best set of players which he desires.''

Now 38, Agali represented clubs in France, Turkey, Greece, Germany, Cyprus and China, and is best known for his stint at Hansa Rostock, for whom he scored 20 goals (19 assists) in 96 appearances.
