Ola Aina : There's No Difference Playing Right Back Or Left Back
Published: November 23, 2017
Chelsea loanee Ola Aina has stated that he would happily play at left-back for Hull City if needed by manager Leonid Slutsky.
For the first time this season in a competitive match for the Tigers, the Nigeria national-teamer was deployed at left-back in Hull City's 2-2 draw with Ipswich Town last weekend, and he ended up playing that same position on Tuesday against Millwall.
''It's the same really and I don't see too much of a difference," Aina told hullcitytigers.com.
"I feel comfortable on the left, as I do on the right, and I still look to take the opportunity to get forward when I can.
''It felt like I had a lot of space in that sense on Tuesday night and I enjoyed that."
Aina covered for Elderson Echiejile at left-back when the Sivasspor defender got injured on international duty, the former England U19 skipper has operated on the left side of defense in all his three matches for the Super Eagles.
The 21-year-old has missed just one game for Hull City this term.
