Wenger: Manchester United Star Loves Arsenal & The Way We Play Football
Published: January 18, 2018
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is not hiding the fact that Manchester United midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan might be heading to the Emirates before the close of the transfer window.
Manchester United are prepared to use the Armenian captain as a makeweight in the deal bringing Alexis Sanchez to Old Trafford.
Asked at Thursday's press conference if he likes Mkhitaryan, Wenger replied: ''Yes of course. If it’s a possibility because I like the player.
''We played many times against him. He appreciates the quality of our game and the way we play football.
''That’s why he loves the club as well.''
Mkhitaryan has given two conditions before joining Arsenal, he is demanding a golden handshake from Manchester United and also wants to be the Gunners best paid player.
