(Photo) Exclusive: Super Eagles Defender Jets Into Lithuania To Sign FK Sūduva Deal
Published: February 13, 2018
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that out-of-favour Nigeria international Michael Odibe is about to end his search for a new club as the central defender jetted into Lithuania on Tuesday for a medical with A Lyga champions FK Sūduva Marijampolė.
If all goes well, the First Bank product will append his signature to a one-year deal with FK Sūduva that will run out at the end of 2018.
FK Sūduva are doing everything possible to get the deal over the line, so Odibe can be registered in time for him to make his debut this coming Saturday against Stumbras in the Lithuanian Super Cup.
The 29-year-old was not inactive while holidaying in Nigeria, having participated in a friendly game between Europe All Stars and Westerlo Football Academy.
Odibe had previous spells with R. Union Saint-Gilloise, Siena, Südtirol, Arsenal Kiev, Dnipro, Atyrau, Concordia Chiajna and Akzhayik.
He has not featured for the Super Eagles since he made his debut against Sierra Leone seven years ago.
