Official: Lithuanian Club FK Palanga Snap Up Youngest Nigerian Player At 2010 World CupThrough official channels, Lithuanian top-flight club FK Palanga have announced the signing of Nigeria international Lukman Haruna on undisclosed terms.

The attacking midfielder had been unemployed since he severed all ties with Dynamo Kiev in January 2017.

Haruna later tried his luck with Vardar Skopje (Macedonia), Lens (France) and Odense BK (Denmark) but nothing came out of the tests.

The 27-year-old began his professional career with Monaco, followed by spells at Dynamo Kyiv, Hoverla, Anzhi and FC Astana.

Haruna was the youngest Nigerian player at the 2010 World Cup hosted by South Africa and started in matches against Argentina and Greece, lasting the distance in both games as the Super Eagles exited the tournament in the first round.

The former Moderate Stars starlet has Champions League and Europa League games under his belt, he was one of the stars in the Golden Eaglets squad that won the 2007 Fifa U17 World Cup.
