Ogbeche Sends Message To Clubs: I Can Play For Three Years, Look at Robben and Ribéry
Published: April 19, 2018
Bartholomew Ogbeche has sent a message to clubs interested in his signature, saying he can play at a high level for the next three years.
The former Nigeria international, who represented the country at the 2002 World Cup, is preparing to bid farewell to
Willem II as he has already been informed that his contract will not be renewed at the end of this season.
Ogbeche scored his tenth league goal in Willem II's 5-1 loss to Feyenoord last night but is suspended for the upcoming game against PEC Zwolle after receiving his fifth booking against the Dutch champions.
''I could have scored more against Feyenoord, but I still shot on the post, I think I can be of value to every club in the Dutch league, otherwise there will be something abroad,'' Ogbeche said to Brabants Dagblad.
''I am 33 years old, but what does that mean? Look at Robben and Ribéry, who have have played longer than me. I am super fit and can easily last three years.''
He added : ''Hopefully I will get to play in the last home match, against Vitesse. Then I can say goodbye to the fans who have always stood behind me. I never forget that.''
Ogbeche lists Paris Saint-Germain, Real Valladolid CF, Cádiz, Middlesbrough, FC Metz and SC Bastia amongst his former clubs.
