Official : Chelsea Wing-Back Signs New Two-Year Deal
Published: April 19, 2018
Chelsea have announced through their official website that England international Hannah Blundel has penned a new deal with Chelsea Ladies ahead of their UEFA Women's Champions League semifinal clash against Wolfsburg next week.
The wing-back has extended her stay at The Blues for a further two years, meaning she will remain at the club until at least 2020.
Having represented the youth teams of Brighton and Charlton, Blundel joined Chelsea at the age of 16 and rose through the ranks before making her first team debut in 2013.
In her first words after inking the new deal, Blundel said : ''Obviously it means a lot to me. It was an easy decision – I love this club, it's like a family here and it's my home.
''I'm very happy the club wants to keep me. I’ve developed massively in my time here and Emma Hayes has helped me so much, both on and off the pitch. She’s been incredible.''
She was one of five Chelsea players named in the 2017/18 PFA Women's Super League 1 Team of the Year.
