Super Eagles Fans Will Be Disappointed With This News On Prolific Argentina StrikerManchester City striker Sergio Agüero's rehabilitation is going according to plan and he is not in danger of missing out on Argentina's roster for the 2018 World Cup.

Argentine sports newspaper Ole says Aguero has already started walking a week after undergoing arthroscopy in the left knee and he'll be on the sidelines for between four to five weeks.

It means the 29-year-old can train fully with the national team when they start preparations for the World Cup in Barcelona on June 1, 2018.

Prior to Aguero's injury, the Manchester City number ten had scored a total of 30 goals in 39 matches across all competitions this season, and for the Argentinian national team he has tallied 36 goals from 84 caps, making him the third highest goalscorer of all time for the country.

The former Atlético Madrid man has faced the Super Eagles thrice in his senior career, with his only goal coming in their 4-2 loss last November.

Nigeria and Argentina will meet for the fifth time in the group stage of the World Cup at Krestovsky Stadium, Saint Petersburg on June 26.
