Official: Experienced Chelsea Goalkeeper Loaned Out To Vitesse
Published: July 06, 2018Dutch Eredivisie side Vitesse have completed the signing of Portugal international goalkeeper Eduardo Carvalho on a season-long loan from Chelsea.
Eduardo was part of the Portugal squad that won the 2016 European Championship in France and has 36 caps for his country.
With Vitesse acquiring Hilary Gong from AS Trencin on Thursday, the Portuguese becomes the ninth player signed by Vitesse in the summer transfer window.
For the upcoming season, Eduardo has been handed the number one jersey by the Arnhem based club.
The 35-year-old spent his formative years as a footballer with the youth teams of Mirandela and Vitória Guimarães before penning a professional contract with Sporting Braga.
His other professional clubs are : Beira-Mar, Benfica, Vitória Setúbal, Genoa, Benfica, Istanbul BB and Dinamo Zagreb.
