Nigerian Prodigy Named In Manchester United Squad For Prestigious SuperCupNI
Published: July 15, 2018Manchester United have announced their roster for the prestigious 2018 SuperCupNI, with the talented Nigerian winger cum striker Shola Shoretire making the cut.
This is the second successive year that Shoretire will travel with the Red Devils squad to Northern Ireland for the competition.
Shoretire stood out a mile at the
2017 SuperCupNI with some dazzling displays, especially against County
Fermanagh, while Mipo Odubeko finished as Manchester United's top scorer with three
goals.
He has returned to the United Kingdom after traveling with Manchester United U18s and U23s to Austria for a training camp ahead of the new season.
Manchester United will face Co L'derry at the Showgrounds, Coleraine on 23rd July, followed by group games against Rangers (July 24) and Club NI (July 25).
Super Eagles striker Sone Aluko played for Birmingham City U14 team in the SuperCupNI in 2003.
