Liverpool Striker Dominic Solanke Excited By Club's New Signings
Published: July 15, 2018Liverpool starlet Dominic Solanke says he is excited by the club's new signings ahead of the 2018-2019 campaign.
The Reds have bolstered their ranks with the capture of the signatures of Naby Keïta (RB Leipzig), Fabinho (Monaco) and most recently Xherdan Shaqiri (Stoke City).
''It always gives you a boost, bringing news players in to help the squad. We had a really good run last year so hopefully they can help us a lot this year,'' Solanke told Liverpool's official website.
Last season, Solanke appeared in 27 matches in all competitions for Liverpool and waited until the final day of the Premier League before netting his first professional goal in England.
''I've got my first goal now so obviously [I want to] build on that, get as many as I can this season and keep improving and help the team as much as I can,'' he added.
Solanke was among the three players of Nigerian descent that picked up minutes in Liverpool's goalless draw with Bury on Saturday, the others being Sheyi Ojo and Shakers new boy Gold Omotayo.
