Official: Young Midfielder Inks Fresh Three-Year Deal With Chelsea
Published: July 19, 2018Young Chelsea Women midfielder, Erin Cuthbert, who is celebrating her 20th birthday today, has signed an extended contract with the club, the Blues revealed on their official website.
The Scotland international has put pen to paper on a new three-year deal with Emma Hayes's Ladies, keeping her at the club till the end of the 2020/2021 season.
''I love this club. I've enjoyed every minute I've been here and I was more than happy to extend my contract, especially when I know where this club is going", she was quoted as saying.
''I'd like to be sitting here in three years with a whole bunch of medals, and I want to be a better player. I'm still young and I've got more to give. I'm going to get better technically, tactically and physically, there's so many elements I can improve and everything is in place in order for me to succeed.
"It's up to me now to go on the training pitch and get the work done."
Cuthbert joined Chelsea from Scottish club, Glasgow City in December 2016 and has tallied 15 goals from 39 appearances in all competitions.
She was nominated for the PFA Women's Young Player of the Year award last season after helping the club to a WSL 1 and Women's FA Cup double.
