Official: Chelsea Announce Outgoing Transfer Of Midfielder
Published: July 21, 2018Chelsea have announced the outgoing transfer of promising midfielder Charlie Colkett to EFL League One team Shrewsbury Town on a season-long loan.
The Chelsea Academy product previously had loan spells with Bristol Rovers and Swindon Town, and was on loan at Vitesse for the whole of the 2017-2018 campaign.
Having started off his career with the youth team of Charlton Athletic, he joined Chelsea at U11 level.
Charlie Colkett has represented the Young Lions at U16, U17, U18, U19 and U20 level.
The 21-year-old has yet to make his first-team debut for Chelsea and was a non-playing substitute against Swansea City in April 2016.
Former Arsenal youth-teamer Fejiri Okenabirhie joined Shrewsbury Town on a two-year deal in the off-season.
