Borussia Mönchengladbach's 3-1 loss to La Liga club Espanyol.
Manager Dieter Hecking opted to field the first-teamers that were not heavily involved in Saturday's friendly with Espanyol and Egbo benefited from that decision.
The 20-year-old partnered Mika Hanraths, Florian Mayer and Oscar Wendt in a four-man defense.
Born in London, Egbo has made only one appearance for Borussia Mönchengladbach's first team since transferring from Crystal Palace in 2015, against Hannover 96 in February 2016.
He has played 60 games for the reserve team in the Regionalliga West, scoring two goals and providing five assists.
