Perugia On Brink Of Announcing Capture Of Ex-Golden Eaglets Star Kingsley Michael
Published: August 15, 2018Italian Serie B club AC Perugia are on the brink of announcing the loan capture of ex-Nigeria U17 star Kingsley Michael from Bologna.
Michael's representative, QSM, have informed via Twitter that their client has already signed a year’s loan deal with A.C Perugia Calcio.
The versatile midfielder will be hoping to gain vital experience under the tutelage of Italy and AC Milan legend Alessandro Nesta, who will coach Perugia this season.
At the 2015 Fifa U17 World Cup, Michael was involved in the Golden Eaglets matches up to the quarterfinal, where he scored against Brazil, and his performance in Chile earned him a promotion to the Flying Eagles.
The likes of Manchester City, Chelsea and West Ham were credited with an interest in the midfielder after the tournament but it was Bologna that won the race for his signature when he attained the age of majority.
He is a product of Football College Abuja, the same academy that produced AS Roma's Umar Sadiq.
