Udinese In Talks With Bursaspor Over The Signing Of Eagles Defender Troost-Ekong
Published: August 16, 2018William Troost-Ekong is being linked with a transfer to Serie A outfit Udinese, according to reports in the Italian press.
Transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio has reported on his website that the Bianconeri Friuliani are negotiating with Bursapor for the signing of the Nigeria international and it is expected that the deal will go through before the close of the summer transfer window.
Troost-Ekong is tied to Bursapor until the end of the 2019-2020 season and is valued in the region of two million euros by transfer market experts.
The Netherlands-born defender was a member of the Super Eagles squad at this summer's football festival in Russia, starting and going the distance in all the matches played by the national team.
A product of Tottenham Hotspur, Ekong also played for the youth teams of Fulham and Bishop's Stortford Community Football Club in England before transferring to FC Groningen, followed by spells at FC Dordrecht, Haugesund and Gent.
Christian Obodo and Odion Ighalo have played for Udinese's first team in the past.
