Official: Rotherham United Loan Out Nigerian-Born Winger Kayode
Published: September 20, 2018EFL Championship outfit Rotherham United have confirmed via their official website that Joshua Kayode has moved out on loan to National League side Chesterfield.
The 18-year-old winger will remain at Chesterfield for one month on a youth loan, subject to FA ratification.
Born in Nigeria, Kayode was raised in the Republic of Ireland and has been living in Rotherham for the last few years.
Chesterfield FC have suggested that the fast, direct winger will make his debut off the bench in Saturday's league match with Gateshead at Proact Stadium.
Kayode penned his first professional contract with Rotherham United in November 2017, tying him to the club until the summer of 2020, and made his senior debut against Manchester City in the Checkatrade Trophy last season.
He will compete for a spot in attack with ex-Reading youth-teamer Gozie Ugwu.
