Super Eagles Final Training Session: Recovery Drills For Uyo Starters; Rest Of The Players Small-Sided Game
Published: October 16, 2018Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has hinted that he will keep faith with majority of the players that started Saturday evening's Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Libya in today's reverse fixture, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
The squad headed to the Stade Taïeb Mhiri for their final training session on Monday evening just over an hour after they checked into the Zeitouna Hotel in Sfax.
For the second successive day, the German football tactician split the squad into two groups, those that started at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium and the other group contained the substitutes and the players that missed out entirely.
Bearing it in mind that the team just landed in Tunisia before the final workout, the starters did recovery drills after the jogging and stretching exercises while the others were involved in a small-sided game.
Meanwhile, Club Sportif Sfaxien have promised to 'take care' of the Super Eagles during their stay in the city and the leadership of the club will hold a meeting this morning starting from 1100 hours.
The Super Eagles will not train again today before this evening's fixture which will begin at 1900 hours.
