Charlton Athletic's Joe Aribo Rules Himself Out Of Trip To Coventry City
Published: December 25, 2018Nigerian starlet Joe Aribo has ruled himself out of Charlton Athletic's trip to Coventry City on December 26.
The central midfielder had to be substituted after 73 minutes in the Addicks 2-0 win over Gillingham three days ago as a result of injury.
Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report that Aribo has not sufficiently recovered from the knee injury and has been omitted from the provisional roster by manager Lee Bowyer.
Apart from the Nigerian, Charlton are facing an injury crisis ahead of their meeting with the Sky Blues as there are concerns over the fitness of Lyle Taylor, Jamie Ward and George Lapslie.
It would have been Aribo's eighteenth consecutive appearance in the League One if not for injury.
With five goals to his name, the 22-year-old is having a banner season and has attracted interest from Eintracht Frankfurt and Benfica ahead of the January transfer window.
