Chikeluba Ofoedu Back On The Goal Trail For The Most Dominant Team In European Leagues
Published: December 26, 2018Chikeluba Ofoedu netted his first goal since October 20 as Maccabi Tel Aviv defeated Hapoel Beer Sheva 3-0 on game week 15 in the Israeli Premier League on Tuesday, December 25.
The former Enugu Rangers striker opened the scoring in the first half before second half goals from Enric Saborit and Avi Rikan secured a win and three points for The Yellows.
On 18 minutes, Ofoedu came close to giving Maccabi Tel Aviv the lead only for his header to miss the target but his next touch found the net as he picked off a back pass by Marwan Kabha intended for keeper Ariel Harush and tapped it home for 1-0.
The highlight of his season so far was netting a brace against Hapoel Hadera with Austin Ejide in goal .
Following their 12th win of the season, Maccabi Tel Aviv have opened up a 13-point gap at the top of the Ligat ha'Al.
They can be regarded as the most dominant team in the European Leagues at the moment along with PSG who lead by 13 points in Ligue 1.
