Official : Manchester United Miss Out On Signature Of Top Transfer Target
Published: January 14, 2019Manchester United have missed out on the signature of Norwegian wonderkid Odin Thiago Holm after the midfielder completed a move to Valerenga Fotball on Sunday.
The Red Devils heavily courted the Norway youth international after he caught the eye at the Sambor Youth Cup in Poland last summer, scoring five goals from midfield.
Holm, who is the captain of Norway U15s, ended speculation about his future by penning a contract with Valerenga beyond 2021.
Commenting on the deal, Valerenga's sporting director Jørgen Ingebrigtsen said to the club's official website : ''We are of course very proud and happy that Odin chose Valerenga, and we are looking forward to developing his talent further.
''Initially, he will be lent to a club in Trondheim so that he can finish the secondary school at home, and then the plan is that he comes here and joins the A-squad this summer''.
Holm is a native of Trondheim and signed for Ranheim before the 2018 season.
