Photo Confirmation: Arsenal Striker Pens New Contract
Published: January 26, 2019Arsenal striker Sam Greenwood has been rewarded with a new contract by the North London club.
Jeorge Bird writes on his blog that Greenwood has signed his first professional contract with Arsenal after turning 17 on Saturday, January 26.
Predominantly a striker, he can also comfortably play as an attacking midfielder or winger.
He has penned a new contract with the Gunners five months after the club confirmed him as one of their new first-year scholars for the 2018-2019 campaign.
This season, Greenwood has appeared in 12 matches for Arsenal's U18 team in the U18 Premier League, scoring 6 goals.
The former Sunderland youth-teamer has represented England at U16 level.
